The other day I made chocolate mousse and cupcakes ... and new recipe for Devil's Food cupcakes which are out of this world (not that I ate any but everyone loved them)....
I made a frosting that was also a new recipe... They were "perfect!" I spent yesterday afternoon in town, "giving away" my cupcakes to local workers in different stores/restaurants... The people at the Sushi Shop really LOVE ME and sometimes offer me a free this or that as a nice gesture...Even the woman who manages a really nice and cute kitchen utensil store offered me a little gift when I went there to say hello and gave her a cupcake and cake ball... She and I chatted for about 20 minutes as she didn't have any clients to help...
Then I went to the chocolatier on the same street... and gave some of the girls there a few cupcakes and cake balls... It's so nice how people respond is such a positive manner when I give away my baked goods! Which is one of the reasons WHY I love to do it... Just to see people enjoy them!!!
Anyhow... it's nothing new for me, as I did this about every week in San Diego... giving away my baked goods to everyone and making more friends along the way... Funny how food does that to people!! They always say, "A way to a man's heart is through his stomach." There should be an equal expression for making friends like, "Make a friend over a cupcake or a brownie!"
Anyhow... I enjoy giving away my things almost as much as I enjoy baking them!!!

Cupcackes fit for a "princesse!"

Well, I made some cupcakes over the weekend, princess-themed! Hey, since I'm the "Cupcake Princesse," I should have these under my belt, right?
So, don't scratch or lick your computer screen! But, if you are ever in Paris, give me a shout and I will make you something!!

Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate gananche
I'm looking to find the "perfect" chocolate cupcake" recipe. This was my first batch and they turned out really good- firm crumb, moist, soft on the top. The frosting was the BEST part, though- milk chocolate whipped ganache- it's one of my favorites!

Fall Seasonings.... pumpkin-cranberry pecan muffins with candied orange

I made these delicious muffins from real pumpkin instead of canned pumpkin! It was a HUGE success and as a result, I will never use canned pumpkin again! They were moist and delicious and each bite was wonderful experience in gustation.

"Black and White" theme
I made these for a Black & White Party this weekend. It's hard to get a black frosting- it turns out gray rather than black and doesn't really look to appetizing. I used a milk chocolate ganache topping instead of a dark chocolate one. They turned out really pretty....

Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes!
This was a total improve for me since I had a whole bunch of vanilla cupcakes left over. It was from a recipe I found for "moist" vanilla cake, but the density was more like a shortcake biscuit rather than a "cupcake. Didn't want them to go to waste so I cut the cupcakes in halves, used some sliced strawberries soaked in honey, and whipped up some whip cream. Piped some white chocolate gananche frosting on top- et Voilà, strawberry shortcake cupcakes.
